ANSWERS:
1. OZmobi prides itself on giving great value for money. However under certain circumstances there are further discounts and in some cases completely free listings available.
Social Discounts (10%, 30%, 50% off or free)
Social clubs, non-profit sporting clubs, fundraising organisations, charities and similarly socially active organisations may apply for a discounted or free listing.
Businesses owned or operated by Aboriginal Australians or Torrens Strait Islanders may apply for a discounted or free listing.
While OZmobi strongly encourages any social non-profit organisation to apply, it cannot guarantee acceptance in its subsidised program. All offers made to applicants are final.
Discounts for Commercial Businesses
If the town where your business is located does not yet have a dedicated page on www.OZmobi.com or OZmobi.mobi, you may submit a descriptive article and a single representative electronic picture. If accepted, OZmobi will list your business free of charge for a full year. You must own all legal rights to both picture and written work and you must be willing to transfer these rights to OZmobi.
Multiple businesses owned by the same entity may attract a discount.

2. Your listing will remain on the OZmobi Network for a full year from the date of purchase. To ensure that your listing will always be available to your customers, OZmobi will remind you to renew prior to the conclusion of your one year term. The same applies to your mobi Website if you have chosen this option.
3. Even if you were to pay by cheque, cash or pay in any other way, there is a small risk as no system is ever 100% secure. However Ozmobi uses the latest technologies available, the same technologies that are used by banks and government agencies. Consequently your payment is as secure as is humanly possible.
4. If you already have a conventional Website for your business, it makes sense to try and register the same name for your mobi site. In this manner you will have mybusiness.com (or mybusiness.com.au) and mybusiness.mobi. If this name is no longer available, try to find one that is as close as possible and describes the goods or services that you sell. Remember: short names are better than long ones and actual words are easier to remember than invented names.
5. You will not be charged until the very end of the uploading process. So if something goes wrong, don’t worry, wait for half an hour or so and try again. If the same problem occurs, contact us via the link below to obtain our help.
6. Following your initial uploading process, you were sent a Tax Invoice and your log in details. With these you can return to your account anytime and change your pictures or other details anytime.
7. Certainly, this domain is registered in your name and you can do with it as you please (within the constraints given by the mobi registrar and the law). We would be happy to quote for an expansion of your site or help you in any other way that you require.
8. No. Once a domain is registered in your name it cannot be changed and it will remain yours unless you don’t renew it following the first year. In that case it lapses and will become available to someone else. However you can certainly register a second or more domains anytime you wish.
9. Yes, but it is a bit more involved and cannot be done by yourself through the system. Once your site is registered, the template chosen, text and pictures uploaded and paid for, it is your property and not OZmobi’s. Any changes would have to be done by a technician. We can quote you for this or you could choose someone else.
