Capricorn is a beautiful region located in central Queensland north of Gladstone and south of the Whitsundays. The region's largest city, Rockhampton sits on the Tropic of Capricorn, while charming Yeppoon is found 40 km further north. The area is famed for its coastal rainforests, pristine beaches and sub tropical islands such as Great Keppel. The picturesque hinterland is rich farming and cattle country while further west, the Central Highlands are home to the Southern Hemisphere's largest sapphire fields around Emerald.
