Central West NSW is the state’s largest region with over 60 000 sq km located west of the Blue Mountains. Important centres are Bathurst, Orange, Mudgee, Parkes, Forbes, Dubbo, West Wyalong & Cowra. The east is more hilly, wetter and higher and home to fruit & vegetable growing and pastoral industries. The flatter and drier west supports grain crops and pastoralism.
